Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged gave me my first hero. Who is John Galt? I started to look for heroes like him in every book I read. And I found them. True alpha males. For me, they seem to turn up most often in paranormal romances. Vampyre, demon, shifter—they appear in all of these forms. I continue to be delighted by the fact that they have evolved in so many ways. They no longer live in the dark shadows and sometimes their sustenance comes from bags. Demons are not always the bad guys, (okay, I lie!) they are bad as hell and I love it. We can find them in our neighborhoods and in our homes. Have you taken a good look at your cat lately? Do his fangs drip with blood, does red fire swirl and dance in the depths of his emerald green eyes… Sorry, got carried away. I write paranormal and erotic romance. I’d like you to meet some of my heroes. They live in the form of vampyres, cats and angels. They will drain your blood, eat your flesh and maybe bring you salvation.
