Excited about running with the popular crowd and dating older guys, Cassi Russell can't wait to start high school. Cassie Russell is excited about starting high school, running with the “in” crowd and dating high school guys. She even knows that she has it easy, after all her friend, Beth, is three years older than her and already in high school. When Beth blackballs her on the first day, making her a social outcast, Cassie sets her sights on Beth’s boyfriend and revenge. Her plans are working great until she realizes that she fallen for her ex-boyfriend, film and computer geek Neil Rosenberg. Neil is the first guy to look past her appearance and see the person inside, but can Cassie give up her revenge or will she lose Neil forever?

Filled with teenage angst and the common confusion known as growing up, this love story for young adults not only entertains, but teaches some valuable lessons too. Along with a few other lessons I believe that the most important one in this book was about fitting in. Everyone wants to be the most popular kid in school, but what this book teaches is that sometimes it's better to be yourself than to be popular. Seek Ye First My Heart is a great book, especially for teen girls.
