Is a chance meeting true love or a mystical spell?
When Mia Bryant inherits an antique pearl choker from her late grandmother, the last thing she expects to see is a pair of sensual eyes shimmering in the center pearl. Certain the vision is a figment of her imagination, she sets the necklace aside, pushing the image from her thoughts. Months later, dressing for a party, the pearl choker calls to her. Helpless to resist, she slips it on, unaware that by doing so she will soon fall for the man behind those sensual eyes.
Logan Thomas is mystified when he meets Mia. A fierce pull draws him to her, and before he can stop, they're kissing under a full moon. But when the revelation of a magical spell has Mia pulling away, Logan knows he must convince her—magic or not—they were meant to be together…
“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to stare. It’s just…I feel… Oh, never mind.”
He stopped at the edge of the gardens and angled his body toward her. “What? What do you feel?” He was desperate to know if she felt anything remotely similar to the strange sensations inside him.
She smiled. A perfect smile that lit her eyes and made her cheeks glow. “Oh, no,” she shook her head and a small laugh escaped. The lilt of it made his heart pound. “You probably think I’m nuts as it is, so I’m not going there.”
“Why would I think that?”
“Maybe because I’ve been staring at you?” She studied him--a deep, unnerving search of his eyes. “I can’t help it. They’re the same as…you have the most exquisite eyes.” She lifted her hand and brushed his forehead. “And the strongest brow of any man I’ve met.”
“A strong brow is important?” he teased, and she rewarded him with another smile. She lowered her hand and he instantly missed the warmth of her touch. Odd to miss something that was nothing more than a fleeting caress, but he did nonetheless.
“To some, I suppose.” She twisted around to sit on a wood bench nearby. “So, Mr. Thomas—”
“Logan, please,” he said as he followed her.
She struck him again with another fervent stare. “All right. Logan. How do you know Mr. Porter?”
Instead of sitting next to her, he straddled the bench so he could face her. “I guess you could say we’re business associates. I’ve known him several years. He’s the one who invited me tonight, the one who talked me into moving here.” He tucked a stray curl behind her ear. “I’ll have to make a point to thank him for that.”
Logan blurted out the next words, without a second of forethought. “I want to kiss you.”
He’d caught her off guard with that statement. She lifted a perfectly arched eyebrow. “What?”
“I know, crazy isn’t it? But ever since you dropped your plate at my feet, I’ve been dying to kiss you. It’s as if I’m being…”
“Drawn—” she said.
“Drawn—” he said at the exact same moment and inched closer. “Yes. It’s…”
“Strong,” she finished.
He nodded. “Strong. Definitely.” No doubt in his mind. He’d never experienced a pull so powerful. His lips itched to touch hers and his hands shook with a desire to run them over her skin. His cock hardened just from a quick glance at her lips, and he knew if he were to stand, Mia would know it, too. “Maybe we should—”
“Test it and see…” she offered.
“Yeah, a test…” He leaned closer and pressed his lips to hers. They came together softly, at first. Then a hunger, a voracious need overtook him and he wrapped his arms around her as she grabbed his biceps. The kiss was passionate, full of questions without a single answer in sight.
He cupped her nape, holding her close as his tongue tasted her. It skimmed her mouth, ran along the edge of her teeth only to delve deeper.
He knew she would continue the kiss if he allowed it. She offered no resistance, only a complete giving. Torn between his animalistic needs and a more sensible desire to get to know this woman better—not to mention the reason he knew all about her—he pulled back with a groan.
He touched his forehead to hers, both of them breathing roughly. “A successful test, I would say.”

Mia Bryant is an ambitious project director, with a slow-paced personal life. When her Grandmother Nanette dies, she is surprised to find that she’s been left the contents of a safe-deposit box, and even more surprised to find what’s inside. In addition to assorted financial documents, there’s a beautiful necklace with instructions telling Mia to wear it “when the time is right”. When she looks at the necklace, she sees something more than gems, she sees something she can’t explain - could it be her future?
Months later, Mia wears the necklace to a party at her employer’s house and meets Logan Thomas. The attraction that they feel for each other is instantaneous and undeniable. Incredibly, they come to believe that Mia’s necklace has somehow brought them together. When Logan is revealed as Mia’s chief competitor at work, will their newfound romance stand the strain? Can Mia trust Logan’s affection is real when she suspects that magic is responsible for their attraction?
Kristin Daniels’ Mystic Charm is a surprisingly sweet, yet decadently steamy romance. Magic may have set the stage for their love affair, but Logan is a strong, determined hero who will not let Mia escape him. Their romance is tender, with enough spice to heat up the room. I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys their erotic fiction with a touch of true love.
