Alexandria Konner, Alex to her friends, is a college student who has been doing some volunteer work for extra credit. Humoring her professor, she follows a ritual and reads some mysterious words aloud. She passes out and wakes up on another world, Tiethla.

Once there she is astounded to find herself treating an injured dragon, and being rescued by a dashing man on horseback, Duncan.  Duncan calls her “Draconia” and doesn’t seem at all surprised to find an oddly garbed woman wandering in the woods. With the injured dragon and Duncan at her side, Alex sets off to explore this strange new world. Could Alex really be the prophesied savior of Tiethla?

Mistress of Tiethla is an interesting mixture of high fantasy and erotic fiction. The storyline is complicated, with many twists and turns, and the sex is varied and exotic. Despite the inventiveness of the heroine’s encounters, the erotic elements are subdued and generally brief in nature. I would enjoy seeing the author expand the storyline to a full-length novel, as there is a lot to keep track of in this shorter format. I recommend this story to those who like fantasy short fiction and don’t mind some erotic elements.
