In the second book of The Rose Trilogy from Brenda Joyce’s part of The Master’s of Time Series, Tabitha Rose is an elementary school teacher and a hereditary witch with unreliable powers. When Tabby visits a museum exhibit showcasing items found in ancient Scotland, she has a very unusual vision of a Scots Warrior in extreme pain and she attempts to call to him to help. Unfortunately she mistakenly calls the Black Macleod from two hundred years earlier than her vision and he is extremely upset about it. But evil is hunting the gentle Tabby and even as ruthless as Macleod is he is unable to walk away from her and vows to protect her.  

   

Dark Victory continues the saga of Masters of Time as they fight evil and protect innocents and find their soul mates in the future. Tabby is the least likely candidate for a soul mate to a Scots Warrior. She detests violence, testosterone filled macho men, and is very much an independent woman of the twentieth century. She could never survive in ancient Scotland. Macleod is everything Tabby doesn’t want in a man but her body seems to have a mind of its own. On Macleod’s side, he is a love them and leave them type of man; no woman has ever stayed in his bed the whole night. He has no room for a relationship, he is duty bound to destroy every member of the clan that murdered his entire family when he was just a boy. And besides all women fear him, well except for Tabby who seems to have no problem telling him what she thinks!   

 

If you have been following the Masters of Time series, you do not want to miss this installment. If you have not started this series, I recommend you either start at the beginning of the series or at least start with the first book of The Rose Trilogy, Dark Embrace. This series is great for anyone who loves paranormals, historical or time travel romance stories with main characters that seem impossibly matched!
