Part Six of Phaze's anthology series.
To Have and To Hold ~ Kelli is marrying Brett. After having planned the wedding for over a year and leaving a job she loves for him, he leaves her standing at the altar alone. She meets up with Will, an old friend from college and they agree to go to the cabin that was meant for her honeymoon. However, Will has his own secrets. First he has been in love with Kelli for years and the second secret that may cause her to run the other way. Can he make her wildest dreams come true?
Precious Things ~ Leaf, a slave, and his Master, Leannon, live in a post-war society where people gather behind the walls of the cities for some sense of safety. Their life is interrupted by Rin, a highway man, who is not who he seems. Can Leaf handle the new facts he learns about his master?
Sam, the Man ~ Sammy meets Greg at a hospice where his client, Greg's wife, lays dying. Sammy is openly gay and Greg is the complete opposite. After the death of his wife, Greg falls for Sammy and Sammy falls for Greg but Greg has feelings of guilt. Can Sammy help Greg accept their love?
Continuing Education ~ Stephanie is an English teacher but she is also the Grand Mistress of the Black Forest Dungeon Club without a submissive of her own. Nicolas, her former student, is back in town after college. They secretly have a mutual attraction for each other. Can Stephanie bring him into her life as her own submissive?
iSUBmiT ~ Svetlana works at an advertising agency. A new client wants to launch a new perfume. However, Svetlana’s ideas are criticized by her co-workers, client's backers and by her boss. Can she prove that she can come up with the perfect campaign? If so it'll require her to submit.
Statues ~ Alexandria has a living art collection. A tradition carried on in her family for over a hundred years. To display her art, she throws exclusive and highly secretive parties. Dante is a reporter for a local tabloid and wants to expose the parties and the participants. He goes undercover to become one of her living statues. Alexandria is attracted to him and wants him for her own. Can she explore her fantasies through him and will she find out why he is really there?
To Have and To Hold is a great change of pace from most of the altar jilting and “meeting old friend” stories that are out there. Precious Things is an interesting mix of post war society in the future and fantasy, Asian, and other elements combined. At the end, I wanted to know more about the universe that the characters inhabited. Elements of m/m and m/m/f-hint. I wasn't sure where Sam, the Man was going but, I was very happy with where it ended. Continuing Education is an excellent look at D/s and quite enjoyable. iSUBmiT is weirdly different in a kind of odd fascinating way. There are some f/f elements which don't do anything for me personally but I glazed over it and enjoyed the rest of the story. Statues is the shortest and last story but, well worth the wait and my favorite story of the six. All the stories have elements of D/s and bondage and all work very well. It is a well mixed collection. I did have to count off half a point for the occasional grammar errors/misspellings throughout the stories.
